- No PGWP for Most Private Colleges
- Unless you’re enrolled in a publicly funded college or university, you may not be eligible.
- This impacts those in private-public curriculum delivery partnerships (PPPs), especially outside Quebec.
- Only Full-Time, In-Person Study Accepted
- Online or hybrid study models are no longer allowed for PGWP eligibility.
- IRCC insists on full-time, on-campus learning.
- Designated Learning Institutions (DLIs)
- Your institution must appear on IRCC’s new PGWP-eligible DLI list.
- Before enrolling or renewing your visa, cross-check this list.
How Will This Affect You?
- If you are currently in a non-eligible private college, you may not receive a PGWP even if you complete your program.
- Students in eligible public DLIs should continue without issue.
- You may need to transfer institutions before completing your course to stay on track.
